The second annual religious and cultural diversity faire, "Cultures and Religions: Seeds of Coexistence," will cover a broad range of topics, from the issue of religious freedom in America to interfaith marriages and witchcraft.
"The faire brings together representatives of over 30 different religions and cultural faiths and traditions," said the Rev. Allyn Axelton, director of the CSUN United Campus Ministry.
"Our goal is to create a warm and friendly environment in which the great diversity of religious and spiritual experience and thought can be shared and enjoyed," he said.
The faire will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the University Student Union near the east side of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St., Northridge.
The day will feature nearly 30 workshops, including "Introduction to Zen Practice," "Millennial Fever and the Rise of the Seventh-Day Adventist Faith," "Religions in the Movies," "Can Same-Sex Union Receive Religious Blessing," "What Evangelical Protestants Believe," and "Introduction to Christian Mysticism."
Admission, which includes a box lunch, is $15 for adults and $5 for students.
