Department Celebrates 40th Anniversary

More than 2,000 alumni and former faculty have been invited to "A Night to Remember," which will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Grand Salon of the student union complex on the east side of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge.

The celebration will also mark the department's recent name change from Speech Communications.

The evening will include a mass game of "Trivial Pursuit," which will pit one table against another; an awards ceremony honoring the department's outstanding alumni; campus tours; dinner and dancing.

Department chair Paul Krivonos said the gala has been designed to strengthen the support system and career networking opportunities for past and present students and faculty.
