CSUN Supports Asthma Victims

Cal State Northridge will host the Lung Association's "1998 Breath Games," a series of track and field activities specially designed for children with asthma on Sunday, Nov. 1 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

All events will be held at the university track field on the north end of the campus located at 18111 Nordhoff Street. Parking is located in Lot T, on Lassen and Lindley streets.

The Breath Games provides an opportunity for 5-14 year-olds and their families to experience the thrills of athletic competition. The day also includes information about the health benefits of exercise and how to better manage asthma during exercise.

Events will include face painting, arts and crafts, moon bouncing and a special appearance by Santa Claus.

Individuals can register on the day of the event for $10. All participants will receive T-shirts, ribbons and medals.

For more information, please contact Helen Bean at the American Lung Association of Los Angeles County at 323/935-LUNG.
