The conference, which will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the high school at 1534 E. 103 St., will include presentations from representatives from a variety of fields such as entertainment, media, health and retail.
CSUN students also will present a skit on "Dress For Success."
For the past year, CSUN students, under the direction of Pan African Studies professor Barbara Rhodes, have met weekly with teen mothers at Riley High School.
"Students from CSUN and I meet with these girls weekly to explore the implications of welfare reform, explore classified ads to identify areas of interest, complete competitive applications and prepare a resume," Rhodes said. "We have also examined the value of volunteering in the community as a means at gaining valuable experience."
The Teen Mentor Program is in its 11th year at Cal State Northridge and it provides a wide range of activities and support services for at-risk youth.
