CSUN To Host Teleconference on Family Values in 21st Century

Cal State Northridge will broadcast a live session of the National Council of Negro Women's convention from Washington D.C. on Sunday, Dec. 7.

The nationwide teleconference "Taking Charge of Change: Affirming Our Values," will be hosted by CSUN's DuBois-Hamer Institute and will focus on setting the agenda for affirming family values and stepping into the 21st century.

Speakers include poet Maya Angelou, Essence magazine editor, Susan Taylor, Camille Cosby, wife of Bill Cosby, and gospel singer Wintley Phipps.

The broadcast can be viewed from 2:30 to 5 p.m. in the Oviatt Library, in the center of campus at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge.
