The celebration will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 2 p.m. on the west side of the building, which is located on the west side of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge.
The building has been in use since Aug. 25, when classes resumed for the fall semester. The celebration was delayed until this month to give students, faculty and staff time to get the semester under way.
"We've come a long way thanks to very hard work by people who really care about this university," said Art Elbert, vice president for administration and finance, about the reopening of the building.
He said Monday's celebration is a way of saying "thank you" to those who have helped with the campus' recovery.
Among those scheduled to be at Monday's celebration will be Rosalind Richfield, wife of the late Jerome Richfield, a former CSUN professor for whom the building is named.
