Cal State Northridge will host "Secrets of Success: Discover The Path To Better Relationships," on Saturday, April 18.
Participants may attend three sessions from 20 workshops available in topics about relationships with self, partners, children and significant others.
Workshops include: "Keeping Passion and Intimacy Alive," by Bonnie Rose; "Building Self-Esteem in Infants and Young Children," by Barbara Calvi, and "When Trauma Strikes: Preserving Your Relationship in Difficult Times," by Jonathan Simons.
William Glassner, CSUN adjunct professor in the Department of Educational Psychology and Counseling, will be the keynote speaker. Glassner is a certified psychiatrist, lecturer and author of several books including "Reality Therapy" and "Choice Theory: A New Psychology of Personal Freedom."
The workshop will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Business Education building on the west side of campus, located at 18111 Nordhoff St., in Northridge.
Registration for the event is $20 for students and $35 for others. Participants will receive free breakfast and a boxed lunch.
The conference is sponsored by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists and CSUN's Center in Educational Psychology.
