The event will include an unveiling of a Miocene mural by artist John Iwerks and a display of maps by Tom Dibblee from 2:30 to 3 p.m., on the second floor of Science 1, located in the center of campus at 18111 Nordhoff St., in Northridge.
Exhibits and displays on Mars, meteorites, research posters, minerals and a special workshop for children on making fossil impressions will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m.
The event will end with a slide show on "Alumni Frolics" at 4 p.m.
