CSUN Archeologists Invite Community To New Research Site In La Paz, Mexico

Cal State Northridge invites interested community members to travel with a team of archaeologists to a new research site in La Paz, Mexico, from Oct. 31 through Nov. 3.

Participants will view the latest field and laboratory work conducted by researchers, anthropology students and faculty from the Universidad Auotonoma de Baja California.

The trip includes excursions to regions between La Paz and San Jose Del Cabo in Baja California Sur, in particular to points of historical archaeological, geological and biological interest.

Travelers can enjoy a flexible itinerary and have the option of partaking in the Mexican celebration of "El Dia de Los Muertos" (The Day of The Dead) on Nov. 1.

The trip is $575 per person, double occupancy, or $659 per person for single occupancy. The trip includes round-trip airfare, three nights at the Los Arcos Hotel, one group dinner and van transportation to Cabo San Lucas and selected points of interest.

Travelers can also visit Espiritu Santo Island for snorkeling, swimming with sea lions, sight-seeing and photo opportunities.
