Cal State Northridge is sponsoring a "Journalism Careers Day" on Thursday, March 19.
The event will include panelists in broadcast, print, magazine writing, freelance, photojournalism and public relations.
Speakers include: Beverly White, reporter for KNBC news on Channel 4; Ardith Hilliard, editor at the Los Angeles Times Valley Edition; Joe Bellman, press secretary to Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky and Todd Bigelow, photographer for the Black Star.
Participants can also attend a brown bag lunch with Angelina Orzada, from the Career Center, who will give tips on interviews and resume writing.
The event is free and open to the public. It will be held from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., in the University Student Union, located on the east side of campus at 18111 Nordhoff St., in Northridge.
Careers Day is sponsored by the Journalism Department and the Society of Professional Journalists.
