Author to Lecture on Gay Studies

Gayle Rubin, author of "Thinking Sex" and "The Traffic in Women," will lecture on "Social Science and Genealogies of Lesbian, Gay and Bisexual Studies," at Cal State Northridge Thursday, Oct. 23.

Rubin, who teaches women's studies at UC Santa Cruz, will talk about gay, lesbian and bisexual issues in the social sciences from 6 to 8 p.m. in Room 344 of Jerome Richfield Hall on the west side of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge.

Her appearance is sponsored by the university's LesBiGayTrS (The Institute for Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay, and Transgender Studies), anthropology and women's studies departments, Center for Ethics and Values and College of Humanities.
