Speakers include Ben Yu, professor of economics and Elliot Mininberg, chair and educational leader in political studies, speaking on "Opportunities for Economic and Educational Developments in South China" on Wednesday, Oct. 29.
Toh-Bin Lim, physician and surgeon at Holy Cross Hospital will lecture on "Chinese Descendants in Kazakstam" on Friday, Nov. 7, followed by Shao-Ju Lee, professor of management science lecturing on "Taiwan: Joseph? or Ruth?" on Friday, November 21.
All lectures begin at 3 p.m. and will be held in the Education Building room 1214, located in the center of campus at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge.
The institute will also be sponsoring a Chinese style "Haunted Mansion Tour" on Friday, Oct. 31, at 5 p.m., at 8819 Etiwanda in Northridge, located on the corner of Rayen and Etiwanda. The event is free for children under 12 and $2 for adults.
