White is a "New Western" historian and author of several award-winning studies on American Indians and the American West. He combines social and environmental history to provide a new perspective on Walt Disney.
The annual lecture series is held in memory of William Paul Whitsett, the San Fernando Valley pioneer who founded Van Nuys.
A reception will be held before the lecture at 5:30 p.m. The cost for the dinner is $25. Reservations can be made through the History department at (818) 677-3566, before Monday, March 2.
The lecture will begin at 8 p.m., in the University Student Union Grand Salon room, located on the east side of campus at 18111 Nordhoff St., in Northridge.
