The conference aims to enhance the lives of black women through a series of motivational speakers, networking opportunities,[PR1] a live performance, an African fashion show and workshops focusing on personal health, politics and relationships.
Speakers at the conference include: Jewell Diamond Taylor, a nationally acclaimed motivational speaker and author, and Jennifer Lewis, a singer and actress who has appeared on the television show "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air," and in the movie "The Preacher's Wife."
Lewis will perform a theatrical piece entitled, "From Billie To Lena," focusing on the singers Billie Holiday and Lena Horne.
The conference will be held from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., in the University Student Union, located on the east side of campus at 18111 Nordhoff St., in Northridge.
