Black History Month Events Scheduled at CSUN
The Cal State Northridge Pan African Studies Department, Black Student Union and Union Program Council have scheduled events in the month of February to commemorate the contributions of black Americans.
All events are open to the public.
Wednesday, Feb. 11
Alpha Phi Alpha Third Annual Step Show, at 7 p.m., in the Performing Arts Center
Thursday, Feb. 12
Student/faculty planning session: "Pan Africanism at CSUN, 1998-2000," from 1 to 3 p.m., in Sierra Hall room 245.
Friday, Feb. 13
Black Business Assn. general body meeting, at noon, in the University Student Union Santa Clarita room.
Saturday, Feb. 14
Student discussion: "Amistad," at noon, in the Black Student Union Black House, at 18348 Halstead St.
Sunday, Feb. 15
Women's Appreciation Day, at 5 p.m., in the University Student Union Grand Salon.
Monday, Feb. 16
Black Student Union meeting, with guest, Minister Tony Muhammad, who will speak on "The Nation of Islam: Enlightening Students About Saviors Day," at noon, the University Student Union Thousand Oaks room.
Umoja night, at 7 p.m., in the Satellite Student Union Shoshone room.

Author Marcia Sawyer will speak on "African Americans and Native Americans, Then and Now," from 1 to 3 p.m., in Sierra Hall, room 245.
