Cal State Northridge To Premiere Play Exploring Gay Lifestyles in the '80s

The Department of Theatre at Cal State Northridge will premiere the Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning play "Angels in America: A Gay Fantasia on National Themes" next month.

The production depicts the effects of AIDS on relationships, gay lifestyles and the life of Roy M. Cohn, an in-the-closet-gay-bashing lawyer.

The play is scheduled for Nov. 14-23 in the Campus Theatre, on the south west side of campus at 18111 Nordhoff St., Northridge.

Performances are at 8 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, 7 p.m. on Wednesday and 5 p.m. on Sunday. A post-play discussion is scheduled following the Wednesday, Nov. 19, performance.

Tickets range from $9 to $5 and can be purchased through the Student Union ticket Office at (818) 677-3093, from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
