Proposition 209: Trick or Treat?

State Sen. Cathie Wright, R-Simi Valley, and Los Angeles City Councilwoman Jackie Goldberg will argue the impact Proposition 209 might have on women at an educational forum at Cal State Northridge on Thursday, October 31.

The forum, "Proposition 209: Trick or Treat?," will be from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Grand Salon of the University Student Union in the center of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge.

Speakers for Prop. 209 include Wright, Northridge political science professor Leonard Billet and economics professor William W. Brown.

Speakers against Prop. 209 include Goldberg, Northridge Pan African Studies professor Barbara Rhodes and Paul Rockwell of Angry White Guys for Affirmative Action.

The forum, which is organized by the university's Cal State Northridge's Commission on the Status of Women, will be moderated by Juana Mora, CSUN interim associate dean of the College of Humanities.
