"In the Park," which runs through Nov. 17, includes performances of "Acrobats" by Israel Horovitz, "Did You Ever Go to P.S. 43?" by Michael Schulman, "Graceland" by Ellen Byron, "I'm Herbert" by Robert Anderson and "The Loveliest Afternoon of the Year" by John Guare. The plays are directed by Jeffrey Levy, Jess Zaino, Julie Summer, Lillian Lehman and Cary Lewis, respectively.
Lehman, who is also a professional actress who has appeared in such television shows as "E.R." and "Chicago Hope," coordinated the performances.
"We chose five of the best modern short comedies to create a fast-paced and challenging evening for the audience," she said. "The excitement of the production is the inventive ways in which we use students, graduate students and faculty."
The cast includes Stephen Bollinger, Liza Del Mundo, Jennifer Rennels, Noel Berman, Felice Parish, Glenda Hyland, Jennifer Riggs, Laurel Sherwood, Darren Clavadetscher, Greg Hurst, Jay Africa and Joanne Miller.
Performances are at 8 p.m. on Nov. 8, 9, 14-16; at 5 p.m. on Nov. 10 and 17; and at 7 p.m. on Nov. 13.
