Historian Talks About Early Days In the Valley

San Fernando Valley historian Catherine Mulholland, granddaughter of William Mulholland, will talk about the early days of the Valley on Wednesday, Dec. 4, at Cal State Northridge.

Mulholland's talk, "Valley Lives: A Memory of Grandfathers," will be at 7 p.m. in the Grand Salon of the University Student Union in the center of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge.

Mulholland has written several books on the Valley's history, including "Calabasas Girls" and "Owensmouth Baby." She has recently completed a new book on her grandfather, William Mulholland, planner and builder of the Los Angeles Aqueduct.
