Rosh Hashana, the start of the Jewish new year 5757, will be observed on Friday night, Sept. 13, and Saturday morning, Sept. 14. Yom Kippur follows 10 days later starting with the Kol Nidrey service on Sunday night, Sept. 22. The services will be led by Hillel's Rabbi Jerrold Goldstein and song leader Donna Weiser.
Goldstein said the services are in the upbeat style of liberal Judaism, with many contemporary prayers as well as the basics of tradition.
"They are very appropriate for students who are seeking their way into Jewish renewal," he said.
