CSUN Hosts Computing Contest

Cal State Northridge's Computer Science Department is hosting the 1996 Association of Computing Machinery Regional Programming Contest on Saturday, Nov. 16.

University students from throughout the Southwest and Hawaii will test their programming prowess through a series of computing challenges.

Registration begins at 9 a.m. in the university's Mac Dome west of the Oviatt Library in the center of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge.

Warm-up and preliminary trials are at 10:30 a.m. The actual contest begins at 1:30 p.m. The competition is expected to last until 7:30 p.m.

The public is welcome to attend.
