Los Angeles Chamber Performs Handel at CSUN

The Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, under the direction of Iona Brown, will perform Handel's complete "Concerti Grossi, Op.3" at Cal State Northridge on Saturday, November 23.

The performance will take place at 8 p.m. in the university's Performing Arts Center in the center of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge.

Brown, who also serves as the artistic director of the Academy of St. Martin in the Friends and the Norwegian Chamber Orchestra, will be a featured soloist of the evening.

The evening's guests include Merrick Baker-Bates, the British Consul General in Los Angeles, and Jerry Timmins, head of the Americas region for the British Broadcasting Corporation.

The performance is underwritten in part by a grant from the James C. Irvine Foundation, is co-sponsored by KCSN 88.5 FM, and supported by the British-American Chamber of Commerce.

Tickets are $25 for general admission; $20 for faculty, staff and seniors; $12 for non-CSUN students; and $10 for CSUN students with identification.
