CSUN Forum to Explore the Divide Between PR and Journalism
(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., Nov. 1, 2004) -- The great divide between journalism and public relations will be explored during a forum hosted by Cal State NorthridgeÕs public relations and journalism students on Wednesday, Nov. 3.
The forum, "PR vs. Journalism," will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Whitsett Room of Sierra Hall on the west side of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge.
"This is a great opportunity for students to address the
controversial issues between the two professions, and possibly clear up some misunderstandings," says Candis Melamed, CSUN President of Public Relations Student Society of America.
Melamed said the forum is a good time for those students who are interested in either profession to learn what they are about.
