Valley New High Schoolers to Explore
Future Health & Human Development Careers at CSUN
What:
Taking advantage of the high school's close proximity to Cal State Northridge, teams of ninth graders from Valley New High School #1 will spend the day at the university exploring careers in the fields of health sciences and human development.
The high schoolers will be divided into groups and will spend the day in interactive activities with faculty in the university's College of Health and Human Development. They will be learning about the exciting opportunities that await people who major in any the college's degree programs. The departments housed in the college are child and adolescent development, communication disorders and sciences, environmental and occupational health, family and consumer sciences, health sciences, kinesiology, leisure and recreation studies, and physical therapy.
