CSUN's Harvest Festival to Provide
Families with Old Fashioned Fun

(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., Oct. 25, 2004) -- Family and friends of Cal State Northridge's Child and Family Studies Center are invited to celebrate fall with some old fashioned fun at the center's annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, Nov. 6.

The festival is aimed at younger children, ages 8 and under, and will feature music, sack races, a kids' leaf stomp, country fair games, children's crafts, face painting and a "down home" bake sale.

The festival will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. in the center's Lab School play yard at 18330 Halsted St. in Northridge. Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for children and children 2 years and younger are free.

The Lab School serves preschool and kindergarten children. The school and the center are part of CSUN's Department of Family and Environmental Sciences and are dedicated to fostering a partnership with the child's family. The school also serves as a learning environment for Northridge students interested in working with children.
