CSUN Study Provides Data for 'Scorecard' on LA's Future
What:
When it comes to the issue of public safety and Latinos, Los Angeles County receives a "C," according to a new study by researchers at Cal State Northridge's Center for Southern California Studies.
The study is part of a new report, Latino Scorecard 2003: Grading the American Dream, to be released Thursday by the United Way of Greater Los Angeles. Teams of researchers at five universities assessed five areas vital to the county's success, including public safety, and the report reveals near failing grades.
