CSUN's Art Galleries Present the
Seventh Annual High School Art Invitational

(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., Nov. 26, 2003) - Cal State Northridge invites the public to celebrate the opening of the seventh annual "High School Art Invitational" art exhibit on Friday, Dec. 5, from 7-9 p.m. at the university's art galleries.

The exhibit, featuring the works of nearly 300 students from 37 San Fernando Valley area high schools, will display a diverse collection of media including painting, sculpture, video, graphic design and mixed media.

Widespread participation in this exhibition signals the continued growth and growing interest in arts programs for public and private schools.

The exhibit, on display through Jan. 11, is open to the public Mondays through Saturdays from noon to 4 p.m., free of charge. Gallery director Louis Lewis will discuss the exhibit Monday, Dec. 8, at 10 a.m.

CSUN is located at 18111 Nordhoff Street in Northridge. The Main Gallery is located off Plummer Street. Parking for the event costs $4 in Lots B6 and E6, off Plummer Street.
