CSUN to Dedicate Energy Saving Microturbines

What:

Cal State Northridge officials will dedicate six energy-saving microturbines, a gift from the South Coast Air Quality Management District.

In addition to saving the campus energy and money, the electrical mini-generators are providing an opportunity for upper division engineering students to get some hands-on experience in studying energy and the environment.

When: 9 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 18

Mohammad Qayoumi, Vice President of Administration and Finance, California State University, Northridge
"Pom-Pom" Gansali, technology demonstration manager from the South Coast Air Quality Management District
Norman Chambers, chief operations officer with Capstone Corp., manufacturer of the microturbines.
