CSUN Dean Awarded CSU Bautzer Faculty
University Advancement Award
(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., Oct. 24, 2001) - Cal State Northridgešs dean of the College of Arts, Media, and Communication has been awarded the Bautzer Faculty University Advancement Award by the 23-campus California State University system.
A scholar and world-renowned composer, William Toutant is one of 22 CSU faculty members to be honored with the Bautzer award this year.
The Bautzer Faculty award program, funded by the CSU Advancement Academy, is designed to give faculty a greater understanding of advancement activities.
To this end, the program sponsors faculty from each CSU campus to attend the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District VII conference, CSU Advancement Academy training programs and campus advancement.
"I am looking forward to attending the CASE conference in San Diego so that I can increase my effectiveness in fundraising for the university," Toutant said.
Award recipients will be recognized at an event during the CASE conference on Sunday, Dec. 9, from 9 a.m. to noon in the Galley Room at the Hyatt Regency in San Diego.
California State University, Northridge has more than 30,000 full- and part-time students and offers 63 bacheloršs and 51 masteršs degrees.
