CSUN's Center for Visual and Performing Arts Taps
Into High-Energy Art Form with One-Night Only Event

(NORTHRIDGE, Calif., Aug. 30, 2001) - Tap dancing takes center stage when Cal State Northridge's Center for Visual and Performing Arts presents "CAUTION, Men at Work: TAP" at 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 5.

The show will take place at the Performing Arts Center in the University Student Union located on the southeast side of campus, 18111 Nordhoff St., Northridge.

Six dancers, costumed as businessmen, firemen and construction workers and accompanied by a live band, give the audience a unique look at tap dance and its rhythm as it progresses from the streets of Harlem to the lights of Broadway and into the new century.

The six dancers include Bob Carroll and Hiroshi Hamanishi from the original cast, as well as Isauro D. B. Gomez, Garrett Minniti, Demetria Moss and Jamie Shea.

The original trio of musicians, Gary Ayrapetyan, Earl Harris and Voyce McGinley II, will perform music composed and created by Adrian Henson.

This production of "CAUTION, Men at Work: TAP" is directed and choreographed by Thommie Retter.

General admission is $19.50, student/senior tickets are $15, and CSUN students tickets are $10.

For tickets, call (818) 677-2488, or contact William C. Martin at (818) 677-7867 for more information.
