Nobel Peace Prize Winner to Launch Southern California
Speaking Tour with CSUN Visit
What:
Nobel Peace Prize winner Rigoberta Menchú Tum will launch a Southern California speaking tour with a visit to Cal State Northridge. Menchú, a Guatemalan leader internationally known for her efforts in defense of human rights, peace and the rights of indigenous peoples, will talk about her work and the foundation she created with her Peace Prize monies.
Prior to her speech, Menchú will hold a press conference.
When: Press conference, 9 a.m.

The press conference will take place in the Grand Salon of the University Student Union, 18111 Nordhoff St., Northridge.

Who:
Rigoberta Menchú Tum, who was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1992, making her the first indigenous and youngest person to ever receive this distinction.
