CSUN Faculty Members Receive Tenure

Thirty Cal State Northridge faculty members were granted tenure last month by the university in recognition of their teaching, research, creativity and public service.

The tenured status, which grants them employment security, becomes effective this fall.

Receiving tenure are Edie Pistolesi, Art; Robert Danes, Music; Rebecca Litke, Speech Communication; Richard Ye, Accounting and Management Information Systems; Linnea McCord, Business Law; Mingfang Li, Management; Chi-chuan Yao, Management Science; Oscar DeShields, Marketing; and Roberta Mauksch, Family Environmental Sciences.

Tami Abourezk, Kinesiology; Alan Wright, Leisure Studies and Recreation; William De La Torre and Crystal Gips, Educational Leadership and Policy Studies; Beverly Cabello, Educational Psychology and Counseling; Janice Eckmier, Secondary Education; and Deborah Chen and Sue Sears, Special Education.
