MICRO "MICE" TO COMPETE IN RACE

Engineering students from college campuses throughout Southern California will compete in a MicroMouse Contest on Saturday, April 27 at Cal State Northridge.

The event, sponsored by the CSUN chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, will feature student-built robotic "mice" navigating through a complex maze of twist and turns.

The team whose mouse finishes first wins the "big cheese" - awards are given out for the fastest mouse and best design.

The day also includes oral presentations, displays of engineering projects and an awards ceremony.

The contest begins at 1 p.m. in the Santa Clarita Room of the University Student Union, located near the center of campus, 18111 Nordhoff St.
