CSUN PROFESSOR NAMED EDITOR OF TRADE PUBLICATION

Joseph Launie, a Cal State Northridge professor in the Department of Finance, Real Estate and Insurance, was recently appointed editor of The Journal of Insurance Issues.

Launie, also the associate director of the Business School's Center for Insurance Education and Research, was appointed in part because of his substantial record of journal and book publications and other contributions to insurance research and education during the past thirty years.

The Journal of Insurance Issues is nearly 20 years old and serves as the official publication of the Western Risk and Insurance Association. The association membership is made up of approximately 350 insurance and risk management faculty and insurance professionals throughout the United States and Canada.
