Korean Musicians to Study at Cal State Northridge

Approximately 60 music students from the Seoul Superior Conservatory in Korea will arrive at Cal State Northridge Monday, June 17, for five weeks of intense study in the university's Music Department.

The students include pianists, vocalists, guitarists, wind instrumentalists and composers who will receive private lessons from CSUN faculty as well as take part in classroom discussions on a variety of subjects including music technology.

During the final week of their visit, July 15-19, the Korean students will present a series of public concerts and recitals.

The students and the president and chief financial officer of the Seoul Superior Conservatory will be available to answer questions from the news media from 10 to 11 a.m. on Monday, June 17, in the Musical Recital Hall on Nordhoff Street in Northridge between Lindley and Etiwanda avenues.
