China's Future Examined in Lecture

Feng Shusen, the Los Angeles Consul General of the People's Republic of China, will discuss U.S. and Chinese relations as well as reform and development in China on Monday, March 25, at Cal State Northridge.

Shusen's speech, which is sponsored by the university's China Institute, is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. in the Thousand Oaks Room of the University Student Union in the center of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge.

Among the subjects Shusen will address the tensions in the Taiwan Straits, whether Taiwan and mainland China can be peacefully reunited, and future of Hong Kong after its reunification with China in 1997.
