CSUN Holds Briefing on Rebuilding Effort

Cal State Northridge President Blenda J. Wilson will hold a briefing Thursday, May 23, to bring the community up-to-date on the university earthquake recovery effort and to announce plans to put Northridge's rebuilding on "fast forward."

The campus is on the brink of launching a massive rebuilding and new construction blitz fueled, in part, by a major infusion of funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The briefing and news conference will take place at 10:30 a.m. north of the Sierra Tower in the center of the campus at 18111 Nordhoff St. in Northridge.

Press parking will be reserved. Press should enter the campus at the Prairie Street entrance, turn left on Etiwanda and park in front of the white domes across from the old Administration Building. Television equipment trucks may access the news conference site via a sidewalk near the old Administration Building.
