Gray Mounger (Alumni Relations) received three Awards of Distinction from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, District VII, in the 1999 annual awards program for Alumni Recognition, "Distinguished Alumni Awards"; for Best Low-Budget Project/Program/Event, "Dinner Theatre Series," and for Special Events, "Private Reception and Showing at the Van Gogh Exhibit."
Mary Neville (Finance Real Estate & Insurance) was administrative editor for the Journal of Insurance Issues, vol. XXII, no. 1, Spring 1999.
Steven Oppenheimer (Biology) was selected as grant proposal reviewer for the National Science Foundation, Signal Transduction and Regulation Program, February 2000.
Randal Scot Thomson and Tatsuo Kumagai (Public Relations) received three awards of distinction from the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, District VII, in the 1999 annual awards program for: Northridge Magazine; The Social and Cultural Impact Report "Practical Benefits"; and for Student Recruitment Publications, "Achieve Your Personal Best."
Deborah Wylie (Facilities Planning) and Pamela Burton accepted a Merit Award in the planning category for the CSUN Master Plan presented to Pamela Burton & Co. The award was presented by the Southern California Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects on Dec. 9, 1999, at the Richard M. Nixon Library in Yorba Linda.
Bettina Pedersen (English) was nominated for inclusion in the 15th edition of the World Who's Who of Women.
