Two Faculty Join 'Who's Who Among America's Teachers'

Two Cal State Northridge professors learned this month they will join a prestigious list of the nation's top teachers as new additions to Who's Who Among America's Teachers, which is coming out later this year.

Donald Neal Wood, professor emeritus of the Radio-Television-Film Department, and mathematics professor Kwang-Nan N. Chow were selected based on nominations by students at the university.

"Dr. Wood has had a 28-year history in teaching, research and scholarship and is genuinely admired by his peers and students past and present," said Judith Marlane, chair of the Radio-Television-Film Department.

'They often come back and specifically thank him for helping them become equipped with the necessary tools for our industry," Marlane added.

Professor Kwang-Nan N. Cow, who has been with the university since 1970, said that he was excited and surprised to find he had been selected for the Who's Who honor.

"I appreciate the fact that the students think I am doing a good job," Chow said. "I enjoy teaching and have always tried to do my best and will continue to do my best in the future."
