Pictured at left (from l. to r.) are Debra Papageorge, chair of the President's Business Council; CSUN President Blenda J. Wilson; J.D. Power III, and Gary Dickey, chair of the CSUN Foundation board.
The event's guest speaker was J.D. Power III, chairman and
founder of J.D. Power and Associates, who spoke on customer
service in the Information Age. Power, who heads one of the
most respected marketing information firms in the world, is a
member of the business council's steering committee.
"I'm in the business of measuring quality and customer
satisfaction," Power told the audience. "So let me start by
also complimenting the quality of the graduates that I've
seen, first-hand, coming out of this university over the
years-and J.D. Power and Associates has recruited more than a
few.
"Such success is due in large part to the tireless efforts of
the professional staff at CSUN. And I'm privileged to know
many of them personally in my capacity as an adjunct
professor of marketing," Power added. "So let me say that
when it comes to CSUN graduates and the university as a
whole, J.D. Power and Associates is one very satisfied
customer."
