Research and Sponsored Projects

Charles Hanson (Educational Psychology and Counseling) and Patti Dengler (Valley Trauma Center) received three grants totaling $596,854 from the Office of Criminal Planning in continuing support for projects titled "Valley Trauma Center," "Valley Trauma Center-Northwestern Los Angeles County Rape Crisis Center" and "Valley Trauma Center-SART Victim Advocate Program."

Rick Moore (Management) received $319,660 from the Employment Training Panel in continuing support for a project titled "The Role of Structured On Site Training in ETP."

Edward Carroll (Science and Mathmatics), Steve Oppenheimer (Biology), Gerry Simila (Geological Sciences) and Virginia Vandergon (Biology) received $127,052 from the California Science Project in support of a project titled "San Fernando Valley Science Project, CSUN."

Alan Glassman (Management) received $103,000 from the Department of General Services, Procurement Division, in support of a project titled "California Acquisition Training Program."

Michael Summers (Biology) received $99,386 from the National Science Foundation in continuing support for a project titled "CAREER: Routes and Regulation of Cyanobacterial Carbon Catabolism."

Frederick Johnson (KCSN) received $81,675 from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in continuing support of a project titled "National Program Production and Acquisition Grant (Fiscal Year 2002)."

Carrie Saetermoe (Psychology) received $72,877 from the National Institute of Mental Health as supplemental support for a project titled "Facilitating Minority Advancement in the Social Sciences."

Gillian Massey (Engineering and Computer Science) received $70,400 from Project GRAD Los Angeles in continuing support for a project titled, "GEAR UP Project GRAD for MESA."

Warren Furumoto (Science and Mathematics) received $40,500 from San Francisco State University in continuing support of a project titled "Alliance for Minority Participation Academic Year 200203."

Charles Hanson (Educational Psychology and Counseling) and Patti Dengler (Valley Trauma Center) received $34,625 from the Catholic Healthcare West in support of a project titled "Case Management Contract."

Ludim Seja de Manzano (Student Outreach and Recruitment) received $33,344 from the Los Angeles Unified School District in continuing support of a project titled "Project STEPS-GEAR UP Program."

Nicholas Kioussis (Physics and Astronomy) received $32,704 from the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in support of a project titled "Electronic Structure and Optical Properties of Point Defects in KDP."

David Klein (Mathematics) received $30,000 from Direction Service, Inc. in support of a project titled "Math Science Initiative Support Project."

Robert Carpenter (Biology) received $28,933 from the National Institutes of Health as supplemental support for a project titled "MBRS SCORE Program at CSUN."

Charles Hanson (Educational Psychology and Counseling) and Patti Dengler (Valley Trauma Center) received $25,000 from the Catholic Healthcare West in support of a project titled "CATS/SART Case Manager and Therapist."
