New Directions Composers Group
Founded in 1978, the New Directions Composers Group is an independent student organization focused on supporting the creation and performance of chamber and symphonic music compositions. With partial support from the university, each semester, this group of students has been organizing recitals of new works, as well as regular meetings between young composers, performers, and conductors. The activities and budget of the group are guided and supervised by the composition faculty in the Music Department.
