Opera

WHERE ARE THEY NOW

Vannessa Douglas was selected to appear in the Metropolitan Opera Regional Finals for the second consecutive year in. In the summer of 2004 she sang with Utah opera.

Benita Galindo has been continually active as a singer, appearing with Long Beach Opera, Opera Pacific, Teatro Estado (Mexico), Lied Center (Lincoln, Nebraska), Napa Valley Zarzuela Festival and the Performing Arts Centers in Tampa Bay, Cerritos, San Luis Obispo and Corpus Christi.

Suren Hazarian is currently comprimario roles and chorus at Opera Pacific.

Sarah Kleeman graduated from CSUN in 2001 and has been working non-stop as a singer ever since. Her credits include The Music Academy of the West, the Merola Opera Program, Seattle Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, Chautauqua Opera and the Adriatic Chamber Music festival in Brindisi, Italy. She now resides in the New York area under the management of Eric Mitchko at CAMI.

Ani Maljian sang the lead in the premier of by Armernian composer . She has also been selected to sing the role of Despina in Cosi Fan Tutte at the Music Academy of the West in the summer of 2005.

Andrew Samonsky is a professional actor and singer living in New York city. After receiving his Bachelor of Music from CSUN, he earned a Masters of Fine Arts in Acting from UC, Irvine. He has worked in regional theaters and in New York City. He is currently playing a leading role in the national tour of the new Disney musical, On the Record.

Raeekah Shehabi-Yaghmai is very busy in the Bay Area, appearing frequently with Pocket Opera, North Bay Opera and Golden Gate Opera

Robert Swedberg is General Director of Orlando Opera in Florida

Etsel Skelton is singing leading roles at the San Jose Opera, including Cavaradossi in Tosca, Don Jose in Carmen and Erik in The Flying Dutchman.
