Electronic writing practice specifically for ESL/EFL students

Student ESL/EFL discussions groups have been established to provide a forum for cross-cultural discussions and writing practice for college and university students in English language programs around the world. There are several lists and while you may sign on to as many as you want, we recommend that you sign up for one list at first. Instructions for signing on follow the list.

CHAT-SL --a general discussion list (low level)
DISCUSS-SL --a general discussion list (high level)
BUSINESS-SL --a discussion list on business English
ENGL-SL --a discussion list on learning English
EVENT-SL --a discussion list on current events
MOVIE-SL --a discussion list on movies
MUSIC-SL --a discussion list on music
SPORT-SL --a discussion list on sports
SCITECH-SL --a discussion list on science & technology

How to sign on:

Log in and run email
From the main menu, choose C (compose)
In the TO space type: majordomo@latrobe.edu.au
In the MESSAGE space type: subscribe listname-SL For example, if you were subscribing to BUSINESS-SL you would type:
```
        subscribe BUSINESS-SL
```
Send the message.

How to get off a list:

Log in and run email
From the main menu, choose C (compose)
In the TO space type: majordomo@latrobe.edu.au
In the MESSAGE space type: unsubscribe listname-SL For example, if you wanted to get off the BUSINESS-SL list you would type:
```
        unsubscribe BUSINESS-SL
```
Send the message.
