Students transferring into CSUN as juniors from other colleges are expected to have at least part of their general education requirements and General History Core requirements completed upon transfer. Any remaining core requirements for the history major should be completed as soon as possible.
Only lower division courses which are comparable to the General Core requirements at CSUN are acceptable toward fulfilling department requirements. However, lower division history courses which are unacceptable for the major may count toward the 124 units required by the university for graduation. For specific information on the CSUN equivalents of history courses taken elsewhere you should consult the undergraduate coordinator. The full title and description of the content of the course may be necessary for making a determination. For courses in other departments that are to be used to satisfy general education requirements you should consult the Admissions Office.
