¡Sifue Vive!
Sifue, is a term of endearment that students and colleagues alike use to refer to Professor Roberto Sifuentes. As we reflect on his passing, we come to know that while we mourn his loss, we see in each other how much we actually have gained through him.
Professors Carlos Guerrero and Denise Sandoval remind us that Sifue was our Tin Tan, our Cantinflas, with his brilliant and witty word play.
Professor Elias Serna recalled being greeted by Sifuentes in the hallway one day with
"serna,serna, serna...sernaser na, ser naser, naser, nacer, nacer... nacer..."
