Notes

~ 120 units are required to graduate with a BA in Humanities. After GEs, Title V, and AAS requirements, an AAS major student needs 51 more units to graduate.

~ 51 units of non-GE and non-AAS courses are accounted here as fun classes, where 9 units are upper-division fun classes. Total units taken with this 4-year plan is 120 when all 17 fun classes are taken.

~ Please note that AAS courses here only account for 33 of the 40 required upper-division units (9 of the 40 must be also GE). The remaining 7 units are achieved through upper-division fun classes and a 1-unit through AAS 499A.

~ Student who has completed 56 units and has met the lower division writing requirement needs to take an essay exam called the Upper Division Writing Proficiency Examination (WPE). It is recommended to do this prior to earning 90 units (in junior year).

~ Please note that this plan is for GE-ready students. Students taking developmental courses will need summer classes to stay on this 4-year plan.

~ It is recommended that the student applies for graduation one year before the expected date of graduation.

~ Student should meet with the advisor to do the graduation check to make sure all requirements will be met for graduation.
