George Uba, Ph.D., is joint professor of Asian American Studies and English at CSUN and a former chair of the Department of Asian American Studies. His areas of teaching specialty include Asian American fiction and poetry; 18th and 19th-Century American literature; contemporary poetry; and creative writing.
He has authored a monograph on ESL Issues and numerous articles and reviews in the fields of American literature, Asian American literature, and critical pedagogy. His poetry has appeared in national publications, including Ploughshares, Carolina Quarterly, The Seattle Review, Breaking Silence, and The Asian Pacific American Journal.
