The Family Focus Resource Center provides information, referrals and support to families, consumers and professionals working with children (birth to three years, three to twelve years), youths (thirteen to twenty-two years) and adults with developmental disabilities and special needs.
 


The Family Focus Resource Center is a non-profit organization partially funded by the implementation of part H. of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) under the California Early Start Program, the California State Council on Developmental Disabilities, community organizations and private donations. In-kind services are provided by the College of Education and the Department of Special Education, California State University, Northridge and the Santa Clarita Valley Special Education Local Planning Area (SELPA).

 

Housed on the beautiful campus of California State University, Northridge in the College of Education, the Family Focus Resource Center has a unique opportunity to collaborate with the faculty and students on research projects and volunteer programs with the Departments of Special Education, Educational Psychology, Genetics Counseling, Speech, Language and Hearing, Music Therapy, Deaf and Hard of Hearing Studies, and on-campus early intervention programs.
