Required Written Test/Homework Format

· Be neat

· Plenty space for margins

· Double space

· Single column

· Start every sentence with a new line and proper indent

· Reasoning is more important than answer

· Every line of work must be justified by adequate reasoning

 

Monthly Tests:    2/13, 3/13, 4/17
                              100 points each
                              Closed-book
                              The worst test score is to be dropped
                              Absolutely no make-up test

 

Final exam:       Wednesday, 5/13, 12:45—2:45 pm
                          200 points
                          Cumulative
                          Closed-book

 

Grading:           homework       100 points                    A:      85% or better
                          2 best tests      200 points                     B:      70% or better
                          final exam        200 points                      C:      60% or better
                               Total          500 points                       D:      50% or better

● Go to https://webwork.csun.edu/

● (The first time you visit this page, read and download for printing: "First Steps for Students," and then go back to the initial page.)

● Choose this class.

● Log in. (Name is your CSUN email address without @csun.edu and Password is your nine digit CSUN id_number.)

● Select the problem set you want to work on, and click on "Download Hardcopy for Selected Sets."

● Print out the problem set.

● Log out.

● When you are ready to submit your answers, log into this class again.

● Click on the name of the current problem set.

● Click on a problem.

● Type in your answer and click on "Submit Answers." (If you have a mistake, you can put in a new answer immediately or you can put in a new answer later after you have reworked the problem.)

● Click on the next problem, and continue as above.

● When you are done, log out. (You can log in again at any later time before the due date if you didn't finish or if you want to change something.)
